Biography - Carl Fritz


Carl Fritz, owner of Fritz Statistical Consulting LLC, has over 25 years of experience partnering with companies in the food & beverage, flavor, fragrance, personal care, household care and durable goods industries to provide statistical design and analysis support for product research, consumer research and market research.
Carl is a recognized expert in the statistical analysis of data from consumer tests and descriptive panels and in applying experimental designs to the development of new products or the optimization of existing products. He has worked extensively with clients in applying multivariate statistical methods such as preference mapping and segmentation analysis to identify relationships between sensory characteristics of products and consumer acceptance.
Prior to founding Fritz Statistical Consulting in 2001, Carl served as Principal Statistician at the Bestfoods Technical Center where he provided statistical design and analysis support to sensory analysts, product developers, manufacturing and management worldwide.   Carl received a master's degree in statistics from Virginia Tech and a bachelor's degree in statistics from Iowa State University. Carl is a member of the Sensometrics Society, the Society for Sensory Professionals and ASTM Committee E18 on Sensory Testing Methods.
